REJOINDERS?! What's that?

In my 20 years of teaching experience to Japanese, I found the most difficult thing for Japanese is that they CAN'T CONTINUE the CONVERSATION!

It can be very stressful and frustrating, especially when you are trying to have a conversation!

Do you know why? Here're the reasons!

So, want to ENJOY a nice long CATCH BALL conversation?

Master how to use REJOINDERS effectively!

So, WHAT are REJOINDERS an WHY are they important?

REJOINDERS are used to ...

  • Show that you are listening

  • Show your proactiveness in conversation

  • Engage yourself

  • Get information

  • Build relationship

  • Make friends

  • Enjoy talking to people

  • Socializing

There 3 Kinds of REJOINDERS:

  1. Showing that you're LISTENING!

  2. Reacting to news and ASKING FOLLOW-UP QUESTIONS to get more information!

  3. ANSWER to questions & GIVE MORE information and then ASK BACK question!

Check out some EXAMPLES below!
